However, general flowmeters need to be installed with broken pipes, which is not easy to achieve under some working conditions, so today's protagonist—ultrasonic flowmeters came into being. Ultrasonic flowmeters entered the domestic market. Because they do not need to be broken, and the measurement and installation methods are simple, it has become a solution to a large class of flow monitoring problems. Strategies, especially in large-caliber flow measurement, have outstanding advantages.   Ultrasonic flow meters are mainly divided into handheld, clamp-on and wall-mounted ultrasonic flow meters. The main advantage of the ultrasonic flowmeter is that it is portable, easy to carry, easy to install and use, and the flow detection range is relatively large, and it can detect the flow of multiple pipe diameters, unlike the pipeline flowmeter, only limited For measuring the flow rate of a caliber. Advantages are inevitably accompanied by disadvantages. The biggest disadvantage of ultrasonic flowmeters may not be that high in accuracy, and there is no high accuracy of pipeline flowmeters. However, a steady flow of fluid helps to stabilize the measurement, thereby ensuring measurement accuracy. The chaotic fluid will make the measurement data unstable or impossible to measure. When measuring pipes with a diameter greater than DN300, an extension bracket is required. The diameter of the pipe measured by the extension bracket shall not be less than DN700. The extension bracket can be installed by the V method and the Z method. Generally, the Z method is recommended for installation, so that the signal strength will be greater.   There are V method and Z method for the installation of external clamp sensor.  ☆V method    DN15mm-200mm pipeline is preferred to V method. When installing, the two sensors are aligned horizontally, and their center line is parallel to the pipeline axis. Note that the emission direction must be opposite (the two sensors are facing inward). The V method is easy to use and accurate in measurement. For pipelines with a diameter less than DN50mm, the installation accuracy is higher. Please pay attention to the parameters of signal strength, signal quality, and transmission time ratio.  ☆Z method    DN200mm-6000mm pipeline is preferred to use Z method, and Z method can also be used when the signal cannot be detected by the V method or the signal quality is poor. When installing, make the vertical distance between the two sensors along the pipe axis equal to the installation distance, and ensure that the two sensors are on the same axis, and pay attention to the emission direction must be opposite (the two sensors are facing inward). Since the Z method is direct transmission and reception of ultrasonic waves in the medium propagation, the signal is not reflected, so the signal strength attenuation is the smallest. Therefore, the Z method has higher signal strength and is suitable for occasions where the ultrasonic signal attenuation is relatively large, such as large diameter, medium containing impurities or bubbles, and pipeline fouling.
