The radio frequency admittance level switch, also known as the radio frequency admittance level meter, is a radio frequency admittance measurement technology developed based on the capacitance switch measurement technology. The capacitance value between the probe and the storage tank changes due to changes in the medium. When this change value reaches the set value of the switch, the switch signal output is converted, and the alarm bell, electromagnetic valve, or other low-power equipment can be operated to alarm and measure the material level.
Due to its evolution as a capacitive switch, it can overcome the shortcomings of capacitive level gauges and is widely used in industrial rf admittance level measurement such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, power, food, papermaking, building materials, etc. It is highly trusted by users. However, radio frequency rf admittance level transmitter are not versatile instruments. Disadvantages of RF admittance:
Due to the influence of rf admittance level switch working principle and product structure, the RF admittance level switch may have the following drawbacks in use:
1. There are requirements for the dielectric constant of the medium
The radio frequency admittance level meter requires the measured medium to have electrical characteristics, and can only measure the dielectric constant of the medium ≥ 1.6 in order to achieve measurement
2. Need to work in a medium stable environment
Due to the need to calibrate the parameters of the RF admittance level switch based on the medium to be measured after installation, this instrument cannot measure smoothly in a working environment where the medium is frequently changed.
3. Cannot be used in compact measurement environments
Due to the anti hanging product characteristics of the RF admittance material level switch, the probe needs a certain length and cannot be too short. It needs to be used in situations where the insertion depth is ≥ 250mm, so it is not suitable for compact measurement environments.
