If foam causes errors, install the sensor in a still-pipe or use a guided-wave radar level gauge. Guided wave radar level gauge measurements are unaffected by foam and are the best choice for this application. 6. The influence of airflow on the ultrasonic level gauge If there is a strong airflow in the container, if it is installed outdoors and the wind is very strong, or there is air vortex in the container, the sensor should be installed in the waveguide or the level of guided wave radar should be used count.
