Due to the large number of pipelines in the steel plant, if the installation is not in place and the site is in a bad environment, it will cause errors in the measurement of the electromagnetic flowmeter. There are four reasons for the error. Talk from experience! According to experience, during the operation of the electromagnetic flowmeter in the iron and steel plant, do not panic if there is a measurement error, see which piece is the problem, and then analyze and sort out from the big to the small. The advantage of this is that you can encounter similar problems in the future. The first room can be solved by itself. If you go to the manufacturer, it will waste a lot of time to go back and forth. The main errors are a few points: (1) The pipeline must be full. The liquid in the pipeline is not full Error due to insufficient back pressure or poor installation position of the flowmeter, due to the large number of pipelines in the steel plant, the liquid in the measuring tube cannot be filled with the pipeline Figure 1. The resulting failure phenomenon has different manifestations due to the degree of underfill and flow conditions. If a small amount of gas flows in a stratified flow or wavy flow in the water pipe, the fault is manifested as an increase in error, and the measured value is significantly larger than the actual value; if the flow is bubble flow or plug flow, the fault phenomenon is that the measured value does not match the actual value. Output sloshing will also occur because the gas phase instantly covers the electrode surface; if the gas phase portion of the flow cross-sectional area in the stratified flow of the horizontal pipe increases, that is, the degree of liquid underfilling increases, output sloshing will also occur. If the liquid is not full of the tube, so that the liquid level is below the electrode, there will be an output over-full tube phenomenon. In order to avoid such phenomena, the stop valve should be designed and installed downstream of the flowmeter during engineering design and construction. Figure 1 (2) Impurities cannot be deposited in the pipeline. Liquids contain solids, and liquids contain solids such as powdered particles or fibers. Possible errors or failures include 1. Slurry noise 2. Contamination of the electrode surface 3. Conductive deposition layer or insulating deposition layer covering the electrode village 4. The village is worn or covered by sediment, and the flow area is reduced. For the flow meter, if it starts to operate normally and the flow shows smaller and smaller as time goes on, it should be considered whether it is caused by the deposition of impurities. (3) There should be no crystallization in the pipeline. For liquids that may crystallize, some chemical materials that are easy to crystallize should be used with caution. Electromagnetics can be measured normally under normal temperature conditions. Since the conduits transporting liquids are equipped with heat tracing and insulation facilities, the flow measuring elements cannot be used for electric heat insulation. When flowing through the measuring tube, it is easy to crystallize due to cooling, making it unusable. (4) The conductivity should be within the normal range. The conductivity of the liquid exceeds the allowable range and cannot be measured. The liquid conductivity may also shake if it is close to the lower limit value. It is generally considered that the lower limit of conductivity for stable measurement is 1-2 orders of magnitude higher. For the slurry noise generated by the flowmeter containing particles or fibers, the method of increasing the excitation frequency can effectively improve the output sloshing phenomenon. When measuring hydrochloric acid, the tantalum electrode is not affected by the concentration of hydrochloric acid and can be measured stably. The above are the reasons why electromagnetic flowmeters are prone to errors. As long as you pay more attention to inspections, small problems can be solved on the spot. If the big problems are not solved, at least you know the direction of the existing errors. When you encounter these problems in the future, you will feel There is a bottom.
