Radar level meter is a highly reliable non-contact liquid level measurement instrument. Since its measurement is not affected by the temperature, viscosity, density and change of dielectric constant of the measured medium (except interface measurement), and the radar wave can penetrate many foam or smoke or steam medium for accurate level measurement, these features of radar level meter make it quite popular and used for level measurement in various complex working conditions. Although radar level meter is very stable and reliable in measuring liquid level, it is still essential to do maintenance work in daily use. However, there are still many users who do not know how the radar level meter should be maintained, so it is necessary to introduce.

　　In general, to do a good job in the daily maintenance and maintenance of the radar level meter need to pay attention to the following points.

A. Check the temperature of the meter head

　　Radar level meter head internal use temperature for the general can not be higher than 65 ℃, if the measured medium temperature is very high, then the 80 ghz radar level transmitter head internal use temperature may exceed 65 ℃. In order to avoid the high temperature so that the internal components of the meter head are affected, you can use ∅6 purple copper pipe to blow compressed air into the internal head through the rain cap to achieve the purpose of cooling. However, it should be noted that dry air must be used instead of water or other liquids for cooling.

　　Second, check the power supply voltage and output current

　　In daily maintenance, pay attention to check whether the power supply voltage and output current are normal. It usually takes 30~60 minutes for the instrument to work normally and stably after powering on. However, if the meter is put into use and no voltage or current output is found, attention should be paid to check whether the power supply is really connected or whether the fuse is blown.

　　When performing inspection and maintenance operations, it is generally not necessary to cut off the power to the meter if it is out of service for a short period of time not exceeding 2 months.

Third, check the sealing condition of the components

　　Because the whole system of the radar level meter is sealed, the equipment and the radar level transmitter are connected into one use, so the sealing condition of each part connection is good, should also become a work of the usual key inspection.

　　Fourth, the quartz window water beads and dirt cleaning

　　Radar level meter in use, if you find that the meter output is always at the maximum, this situation is likely to detect the return signal of the quartz window below the water droplets caused. Normally, it will work normally after rinsing with water.

　　If the quartz crystal is stained with materials or spoils, it needs to be cleaned in time, but the following methods and precautions need to be noted when cleaning.

　　1、Specific operation method: first turn off the ball valve, then remove the cover flange and quartz window flange, wipe the quartz surface with a cotton cloth dipped in alcohol, gasoline and other solvents, and finally the quartz glass should be wiped dry.

　　2, cleaning precautions: in the cleaning process, pay attention not to use alkaline solvent scrubbing, pay attention not to disassemble the quartz window fixing screws, do not use metal pliers, so as not to damage the quartz window surface of the spray layer.

When reassembling the quartz window flange after cleaning, attention should be paid to whether the waterproof gasket is intact and should be replaced again as required to avoid leakage.
