How Servo Level Gauge Works

The working principle of the servo level gauge Servo level gauge is a commonly used liquid level instrument, which is widely used for high-precision measurement of the liquid level of the storage tank. Servo level gauges are based on the principle of force balance, and a small volume float is driven by a micro servo motor, enabling precise level or interface measurement in it. The basic work and process are as follows: the float is suspended in the instrument housing with a measuring wire, and the measuring wire is wound on the precision-machined outer drum, the outer magnet is fixed in the outer drum, and is coupled with the magnet fixed in the inner drum. Together. When the level gauge is working, the gravity of the float acting on the thin wire produces a moment on the magnet of the outer drum, which causes the change of the magnetic flux. The change of the magnetic flux between the drum assemblies causes the output voltage signal of the electromagnetic sensor (Hall element) on the inner magnet to change, and its voltage value is compared with the reference voltage stored in the CPU. When the position of the float is balanced, the difference is zero. When the liquid level of the measured medium changes, the float changes. As a result, the magnetic coupling torque is changed, so that the output voltage of the Hall element with temperature compensation changes. The difference between the voltage value and the reference voltage in the CPU drives the servo motor to rotate, and drives the float to move up and down to reach the equilibrium point again. The whole system constitutes a closed-loop feedback loop, and its accuracy can reach ±0.7mm, and its own hanging compensation function can compensate for the change of wire tension caused by the measured medium attached to the wire or the float. Servo-type liquid level gauge can choose different shell materials and pressure levels according to different application conditions.
