Ordinary radar is non-contact measurement, while guided wave radar is contact measurement, which means that guided wave radar needs to consider the corrosiveness and adhesion of the medium, and it is more difficult to install and maintain long guided wave radars. Ordinary radars can be used interchangeably, while guided wave radars generally cannot be used interchangeably because the length of the probe (cable) is fixed according to the original working conditions. Affected by this, the selection of guided wave radars is more troublesome than ordinary radars. When measuring solid materials, the guided wave radar also needs to consider the force of the probe (cable). It is also due to the force. Generally, the measurement distance of the guided wave radar is not very long, while the ordinary radar is in a tank of 30 and 40m. Body application is more common, and can even measure up to 60m. However, guided wave radar has obvious advantages in some special working conditions. For example, there is stirring in the tank and the medium fluctuates greatly. In such a working condition, the measured value of the guided wave radar fixed at the bottom is more stable than that of the flexible radar; For position measurement, due to the small installation and measurement space (or many interfering objects in the tank), ordinary radars are generally not suitable. At this time, the advantages of guided wave radars appear; The measurement principle of guided wave radar is based on the difference in dielectric constant of the medium. Since the wave emitted by ordinary radar is divergent, when the dielectric constant of the medium is too low, the signal is too weak and the measurement is unstable, while the guided wave radar wave is along the guided wave. The rod propagation signal is relatively stable. In addition, the general guided wave radar also has a bottom detection function, which can be corrected according to the measured value of the bottom wave signal to make the signal more stable and accurate. The continuous wave with changing frequency is transmitted in the frequency period. The echo reflected by the object has a certain frequency difference with the transmitted signal. The distance information between the target and the radar can be obtained by measuring the frequency difference. As an emerging industrial measuring instrument, it has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance, vacuum resistance, strong penetration, and little influence by temperature, steam, dust, etc. The 80GHz radar level meter can not only measure the liquid level, but also measure the solid material level (including powder). It has a good application in different storage tanks, process storage tanks (silo), reaction tanks, static storage tanks , Dome tank, flat-top tank, spherical tank, horizontal tank, stilling pipe, bypass pipe, tank with agitator.
