PRODUCT OVERVIEW


The 6GHz intelligent series radar level gauge is suitable for non-contact continuous measurement of the level of liquid, slurry, granular material and block material. It is suitable for the occasions where the temperature and pressure change greatly; there are inert gases and volatilization.

 

The measurement method of microwave pulse is adopted, and it can work normally in the range of industrial frequency band. The beam energy is low, and it can be installed in various metal and non-metal containers or pipes without harm to the human body or the environment.




PRODUCT PRINCIPLE


Transmit and receive very short microwave pulses with very low energy through the antenna system. Radar waves travel at the speed of light. The running time can be converted into a level signal by electronic components. A special time extension method can ensure stable and accurate measurement in a very short time. Even if there are false echoes under complicated working conditions, micro-processing technology and debugging software can also accurately analyze the level echoes.



The antenna receives the reflected microwave pulse and transmits it to the electronic circuit. The microprocessor processes this signal to identify the echo generated by the micro pulse on the surface of the material. The correct echo signal identification is completed by the pulse software, and the accuracy can reach the millimeter level.

 

The distance D from the surface of the material is proportional to the time travel T of the pulse: D=C×T/2; where C is the speed of light. Since the distance E of the empty tank is known, the level L is: L=E-D.

 

It is set by entering the empty tank height E (=zero point), the full tank height F (=full scale) and some application parameters. The application parameters will automatically adapt the meter to the measurement environment. Corresponds to 4-20mA output.


PROTECTION GRADE


This instrument fully meets the requirements of protection class IP66/67, please ensure the waterproof of the cable sealing head. As shown:

How to ensure that the installation meets the requirements of IP67:

Make sure that the sealing head is not damaged.

INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS


Recommended location (2), the tank wall to the outer wall of the installation short pipe should meet the following requirements: the best distance from the tank wall is 1/4 or 1/6 of the tank diameter, and the minimum installation distance from the tank wall is within the measurement range 1/10. For example: 10m liquid level storage tank, the minimum installation distance from the tank wall should be 1m.


● Cannot be installed above the inlet (4)

 

● It cannot be installed in the center position (3). If it is installed in the center, multiple false echoes will be generated, and interference echo will cause the loss of real signal.

 

● If the distance between the meter and the tank wall cannot be maintained, the medium on the tank wall will stick to cause false echoes. The false echo storage should be performed when the meter is debugged.

The top plane of the conical tank can be installed in the middle of the top of the tank to ensure the measurement to the bottom of the cone.


        Storage tanks with stockpiles

When there is a stockpile, the antenna should be vertically aligned with the material surface. If the material surface is not flat and the pile angle is large, a universal flange must be used to adjust the angle of the horn so that the horn is aligned with the material surface as much as possible. (Because the inclined solid surface will cause echo attenuation and even loss of signal)



         Installation instructions in the tank

In the signal beam, the following installations should be avoided:

such as (1): limit switch, temperature sensor, etc.

Symmetrical devices such as (2): vacuum ring, heating coil, baffle, etc.

If there are (1) (2) interfering objects in the tank, the still-pipe should be used for measurement.
