What are the differences between a radar level gauge and a differential pressure level gauge?

In industrial production, various chemical liquids need to be measured, but some chemical liquids are volatile or contain toxicity, manual measurement is unrealistic, so it is necessary to use professional instruments to measure, liquid level meter is a more common type, and according to different working conditions and environmental requirements, has been derived a lot of types, Radar level meter and differential pressure level meter are two categories, what is the difference between them?

Radar level meter has strong adaptability, strong adaptability to temperature and medium, high accuracy, measuring the depth of the liquid level below 15 meters, can control the error within 5mm, more than 15 meters can also maintain no more than 5mm±0.05% accuracy.

The age of the birth of the differential pressure level meter is relatively early, so it is also suitable for some industries with traditional liquid level measurement needs, with fast response and higher measurement accuracy, poor cold resistance, and the need to do a good job of insulation or heating measures in winter, while also observing pipeline leakage and condensation.

The advantages of differential pressure type liquid level gauge (dp type level guage) are: no mechanical wear, reliable work, stable quality, long life, simple structure, easy installation, easy operation and maintenance, small size suitable for most occasions at normal temperature and pressure. The disadvantage is that due to the principle limitation, the liquid level meter is to measure the pressure and then convert it into the liquid level, and the accuracy is not very high. When there is foam, gas or viscous liquid in the container, the measurement accuracy will be affected.

The measurement accuracy of the differential pressure transmitter is affected by the following factors: foam, gas or viscous liquid in the container can affect the measurement accuracy.

Differential pressure level gauges and radar level gauges are two different types of level gauges. Differential pressure level gauges (dp level gauge) measure the difference in pressure between the surface of the liquid and the bottom of the container to determine the liquid level. Radar level gauges use electromagnetic waves to measure the distance between the liquid level and the top of the container to determine the level. Radar level gauges are more accurate than differential pressure level gauges and can be used for a wider range of applications.
