How to install a radar level gauge in a sulfuric acid storage tank?

In the smelting production process, sulfuric acid is often seen, and sulfuric acid storage tanks must also exist. For this kind of working condition, what aspects should be paid attention to when installing the radar level timer to ensure the accuracy of the measurement?

First of all, the radar level gauge is installed in the sulfuric acid tank, and the antenna must be perpendicular to the liquid surface, and there must be a certain distance between the two, usually the distance is not less than 5 cm.

The main reason for this is to prevent the liquid from adhering to the antenna and accumulating over time, affecting the measurement effect, and even making it impossible to measure.

Secondly, keep a certain distance between the antenna of the radar level gauge and the inner wall of the storage tank, and do not install the radar level gauge above the inlet. 

The distance between the radar level gauge and the inner wall of the tank is too close, and the interference signal generated by the tank wall easily affects the measurement effect, and even produces false echoes.

Installed above the feed inlet, it is easy to fail to measure the real liquid level, so it must be avoided.

Third, if there is a stirring device in the sulfuric acid storage tank, when installing the radar level gauge, try to avoid the vortex area formed during the operation of the stirring device, so as to avoid the interference echo produced by the stirring device from affecting the measurement effect. Only if the radar wave cannot reach the vortex area, there will be no interference echo.

Finally, if the sulphuric acid storage tank needs to install limit switches and other auxiliary equipment, the installation position needs to avoid the beam range of the radar level gauge, so that the auxiliary equipment cannot generate interference echoes and naturally cannot affect the measurement.
