High-pressure media: Some liquid media have high pressure, direct exposure to high-pressure media may cause damage or even danger to the radar level meter. Through the installation of bypass pipe, it can reduce the pressure on the level meter and ensure its safe work. Corrosive media: some liquid media has strong corrosive, direct contact with corrosive media will cause damage to the radar level meter. Through the bypass pipe installation, the medium can be guided to the outside of the pipeline, away from the level meter, so as to protect it from corrosive influences.

In a chemical company's tank system, there are high temperature and corrosive liquid media. Since the high frequency 26g radar level meter could not be directly exposed to the high temperature and corrosive medium for measurement, they needed to use the bypass pipe installation method. They selected a radar level meter for high temperature and corrosive media and installed a bypass pipe in the upper part of the tank. Through the bypass pipe, the liquid is guided to the outside of the pipe, away from the level meter. In this way, the radar level gauge allows accurate level measurement in a safe environment.
