(2) The liquid in the tube is not full. Due to insufficient back pressure or poor installation position of the flow sensor, the liquid in the measuring tube is not full, and the failure phenomenon has different manifestations due to the degree of incompleteness and flow conditions. If a small amount of gas is in stratified flow or wavy flow in the water pipe, the fault phenomenon is that the error increases, that is, the flow measurement value does not match the actual value; if the flow is bubbly flow or plug flow, the fault phenomenon is that the measured value does not match the actual value. In addition, output sloshing will also occur because the gas phase covers the surface of the electrode instantly; if the gas phase part of the flow cross-sectional area increases in the stratified flow of the horizontal pipe, that is, the degree of liquid underfilling increases, output sloshing will also occur. If the situation is more serious, so that the liquid level is below the electrode, the output over-full scale phenomenon will occur. (3) Problems caused by improper selection of electrode and grounding ring materials. The parts of the intelligent electromagnetic flowmeter that are in contact with the medium and the faults are caused by the mismatch between the material and the measured medium. There are electrodes and grounding rings. In addition to corrosion resistance problems, as long as improper matching is the electrode surface effect. Surface effects should include: ① chemical reaction (formation of blunt film on the surface, etc.); ② electrochemistry and polarization phenomenon (potential generation); ③ catalytic effect (aerosol generation on the surface of the electrode, etc.). Ground rings also have these effects, but to a lesser extent. (4) For liquids that may crystallize, intelligent electromagnetic flowmeters should be used with caution. Some chemical materials that are easy to crystallize can be measured normally under normal temperature conditions. Since the conduits transporting fluids have good heat tracing and heat preservation, they will not be used during heat preservation work. However, it is difficult to carry out heat tracing and heat preservation for the measuring tube of the intelligent electromagnetic flow sensor. Therefore, when the fluid flows through the measuring tube, it is easy to cause a layer of solid on the inner wall due to cooling. Since the measurement of flowmeters using other principles also has crystallization problems, in the absence of other better methods, one with a very short measuring tube length can be selected.“ring”(oring) intelligent electromagnetic flow sensor, and strengthen the heat tracing and insulation of the upstream pipeline of the flow meter. Because the lower limit specified by the manufacturer's instrument specification is the lowest value that can be measured under good conditions of use, and the actual conditions cannot be ideal, so many times I encountered low-level distilled water or deodorized water. Ionized water, whose conductivity is close to the lower limit of 5 specified by the electromagnetic flowmeter specification, has output shaking during use. It is generally considered that the lower limit of conductivity for stable measurement is 1 to 2 orders of magnitude higher. The conductivity of the liquid can be found in the relevant manuals, and if the data is lacking, the sample can be measured with a conductivity meter. But sometimes there are cases where samples are taken from the pipeline to be determined in the laboratory, but the actual electromagnetic flowmeter cannot work. This is because the liquid when the conductivity is measured is different from the liquid in the pipeline. For example, the liquid has absorbed CO2 or NO in the atmosphere to generate carbonic acid or nitric acid, and the conductivity has increased. For the noise slurry produced by the liquid containing particles or fibers, the method of increasing the excitation frequency can effectively improve the output sloshing. Some frequency-adjustable IFM3080F DN300 electromagnetic flowmeters measure corrugated cardboard slurry with a concentration of 3.5%, and measure the displayed instantaneous flow sloshing with different excitation frequencies on site. When the frequency is low, 50/32Hz, the shaking is as high as 10.7%; when the frequency is increased to 50/2Hz, the shaking is reduced to 1.9%, and the effect is very obvious.
