Electromagnetic flow meter electrode cleaning method

Abstract: The information on the cleaning method of the electrode of the electromagnetic flowmeter is provided by the excellent flowmeter and flowmeter manufacturers. Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in various industrial sites, and the electrodes of electromagnetic flowmeters that have been used for a long time are susceptible to different contamination of the medium. The technical staff of the electromagnetic flowmeter manufacturer Jiangsu Jinhu Xudong Instrument Factory will introduce you to several types of electromagnetic flowmeter electrode cleaning. For more flowmeter manufacturers to select models and price quotations, you are welcome to inquire. The following is the article details of the cleaning method of the electrode of the electromagnetic flowmeter. Electromagnetic flowmeters are widely used in various industrial sites, and the electrodes of electromagnetic flowmeters that have been used for a long time are susceptible to different contamination of the medium. The technical staff of Jinhu Xudong Instrument Factory, the manufacturer of electromagnetic flowmeters, will introduce you to several methods of cleaning the electrodes of electromagnetic flowmeters. 1. Electrochemical methods Metal electrodes have electrochemical phenomena in electrolyte fluids. According to the principle of electrochemistry, there is an interfacial electric field between the electrode and the fluid, and the interface between the electrode and the fluid is caused by the electric double layer existing between the electrode/fluid phase. The study of the electric field at the interface between the electrode and the fluid found that the molecules, atoms or ions of the substance have enriched or poor adsorption at the interface, and found that most inorganic anions are surface active substances with a typical ion adsorption law, while the surface of inorganic cations activity is small. Therefore, electrochemical cleaning of electrodes only considers the case of anion adsorption. The adsorption of anions is closely related to the electrode potential, and the adsorption mainly occurs in the potential range that is more positive than the zero-charge potential, that is, the electrode surface with the opposite sign. On the electrode surface of the same charge, when the residual charge density is slightly larger, the electrostatic repulsion is greater than the adsorption force, and the anions are quickly desorbed, which is the principle of electrochemical cleaning. 2. Mechanical removal method The mechanical removal method realizes electrode removal by installing a special mechanical structure on the electrode. There are currently two forms: one is to use a mechanical scraper. A scraper with a thin shaft is made of stainless steel, and the scraper is drawn out through a hollow electrode. A mechanical seal is used between the thin shaft and the hollow electrode to prevent the outflow of the medium, so a mechanical scraper is formed. When the thin shaft is rotated from the outside, the scraper rotates against the plane of the electrode end to scrape off the dirt. This scraper can be used manually or automatically with a motor-driven thin shaft. The scraper-type electromagnetic flowmeter produced by the electromagnetic flowmeter manufacturer Xudong Instrument Factory has such performance, and the performance is stable and easy to operate. The other is in the tubular electrode, which is equipped with a wire brush for removing dirt, and the shaft is wrapped in a sealed“O”ring to prevent fluid leakage. This cleaning device requires someone to frequently pull the wire brush to clean the electrode, which is not very convenient to operate. 3. The ultrasonic cleaning method applies the ultrasonic voltage of 45~65kHz generated by the ultrasonic generator to the electrode, so that the energy of the ultrasonic wave is concentrated on the contact surface between the electrode and the medium, so as to use the ability of the ultrasonic wave to crush the dirt to achieve the purpose of cleaning. 4. Electric breakdown method This method uses alternating high-voltage electricity to be regularly added between the electrode and the medium, generally 30~100V. Because the electrode is attached, its surface contact resistance becomes larger, and the applied voltage is almost concentrated on the attached object. The high voltage will break down the attached object and then be washed away by the fluid. For overall safety, the use of electric breakdown method must be to clean the AC high voltage directly on the sensor signal output terminal when the flowmeter is interrupted for measurement, the signal line between the sensor and the converter is disconnected, and the power is cut off. The following are the cleaning methods after the electrodes are contaminated by several special media (only applicable to electromagnetic flowmeters that can be inserted into electrodes) Electromagnetic flowmeter electrode cleaning methods: (1) For inorganic pollution, the electrodes can be immersed in 0.1mol/L dilute In hydrochloric acid for 30 minutes, rinse with pure water, and then immerse in 3.5MOL/L potassium chloride solution for 6 hours before use. (2) Immerse in 4% hydrogen fluoride solution for 3~5s, take out and rinse with distilled water, then soak in 0.1mol/L hydrochloric acid solution for several hours, rinse with distilled water, and calibrate. (3) For organic oil pollution and oil film pollution, the platinum or gold surface can be cleaned with detergent, then washed with pure water, and then immersed in 3.5MOL/L potassium chloride solution for 6 hours before use. (4) The surface of platinum is seriously polluted and an oxide film is formed. The platinum or gold surface can be polished with toothpaste, then washed with pure water, and then immersed in 3.5MOL/L potassium chloride solution for 6 hours before use. The above is the whole content of this article. You are welcome to inquire about the flowmeter selection and quotation of our factory. 'Cleaning Method of Electromagnetic Flow Meter Electrode'
