When measuring new pipelines, when encountering paint or zinc-transitioned pipelines, you can use roving to process the surface of the pipeline first, and then use fine yarn to continue processing, so as to ensure that the installation point of the flow sensor of the ultrasonic flowmeter is smooth and flat. The flow probe of the flow meter can be in good contact with the outer wall of the measured pipe.   3. When the pipe runs vertically upwards, if the fluid in the pipe flows from bottom to top, it can be measured. If the liquid flows from top to bottom, this pipe is not suitable for flow data collection.   4. In addition, before collecting flow data for a certain pipeline, you must measure the outer circumference of the pipeline (using a tape measure), wall thickness (using a thickness gauge), and the temperature of the outer wall of the pipeline (surface temperature measuring instrument).    5. Remove the insulation and protective layer in the installation section, and polish the wall surface of the transducer according to the installation. Avoid local depressions, smooth out protrusions, and polish the paint rust layer.   6. For a vertical pipeline, if it is a mono-channel propagation time meter, the installation position of the sensor should be as far as possible in the bending axis plane of the upstream elbow to obtain a closer average value after the elbow flow field is distorted.   7. The installation place of the ultrasonic flowmeter sensor and the reflection on the pipe wall must avoid the interface and welding seam.    8. The lining and scale layer of the pipe where the ultrasonic flowmeter sensor is installed should not be too thick. There should be no gaps between the lining, the rust layer and the pipe wall. For severely corroded pipes , a hand hammer can be used to shake the pipe wall to shake off the rust layer on the wall and ensure the normal propagation of sound waves. But care must be taken to prevent the pits from being hit.   9. There should be enough couplant between the working surface of the sensor and the pipe wall, and there should be no air and solid particles to ensure good coupling. After understanding the basic installation knowledge, how do we choose the installation location for the external clamp ultrasonic flowmeter? The selection of the installation pipe section has a great influence on the test accuracy. The selected pipe section should avoid interference and eddy currents, which have a greater impact on the measurement accuracy. In general, the selection of pipe sections should meet the following conditions:   1, avoid installing machines at water pumps, high-power radio stations, frequency conversion, that is, where there is strong magnetic field and vibration interference;   2, choose pipe sections that should be uniform and dense and easy to transmit ultrasonic waves;   3. There is a long enough straight pipe section, the upstream straight pipe section of the installation point must be greater than 10D (note: Du003ddiameter), and the downstream must be greater than 5D;   4, the upstream of the installation point should be 30D away from the pump;   5, the fluid should be filled with the pipe;   6, There must be enough space around the pipeline to facilitate the on-site operation.
