PRODUCT INTRODUCTION

KAIDI Speed Switch is used in bulk material handling/processing systems to monitor speeds of belt conveyors, screw conveyors, bucket elevators, rotary feeder shafts, rotating drums and other types of rotating machinery to protect elevators, feeders and conveyors from speed related damage resulting from broken belts, overloads, or belt slippages.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

The belt sway switch should be used in the following environmental conditions; especially made products should be used at the allowable conditions noted in the approved drawing or the final drawing.

● Temperature: -20°C ~ +60°C

Do not use the belt sway switch in the place where there is danger of freezing.

● Humidity less than 80%

● Vibration

Normal vibration (such as motor, reducer) has no affection on the device. But avoid to install near strong vibration device, such as vibrating feeder.

● Explosive and Corrosive Environment

The standard Pull Cord Switch should never be use under these conditions.

Periodic Inspection

(1) Cleaning of magnetic dust

Always clean when an excessive amount of dust accumulates on any part of the device.

(2) Protection shield

A Protection shield is necessary if material drop happens.

Lubrication

The Speed Switch has no need to lubricate.

Tightening of Cover

When taking off the cover of belt sway switch for the sake of writing, adjusting and checking, secure the screws of the cover after working, or the belt sway switch may cause trouble due to water and dust entering from between the cover and casing.
