ROTARY PADDLE LEVEL SWITCH

The rotary level switch provides reliable point level detection and measurement of dry bulk solids in bins, tanks, silos, hoppers, and material conveyors. Mounted on the top or side of a bin, the Bin detect paddle sensor alerts operators when bins are full—normally through the use of

a horn or light.Rotary Paddle Level Switch operating principle is simple. A unit is usually located through a bin wall at the top, middle or low level of a bin. During normal operation (no material present) a synchronous motor rotates the paddle at 1 RPM. When this paddle rotation

is impeded by material, surroanding the paddle, motor will stall and cause the Micro rotary paddle switch to change state.Switch has a detent mechanism so it "clicks" from one active position to another rather than stalls in an intermediate position. Thus a rotary switch provides greater pole

and throw capabilities than simpler switches do.

The rotary paddle level switch works when an electric motor drives the shaft connected to the rotating paddle. The twin blades of rotating paddle rotate freely when uncovered. The electric motor is mounted on a sliding-fit rotating disc, which in-turn is connected to a spring.

Rotary Paddle Type Level Switch is used for level detection for powder or bunk material in silo,hoppar,etc. The rotating paddle is continuously rotates by a motor. When this paddle contacts with the material, the force more than the rotating torque will be applied to the paddle and the rotation will stop.

TORQUE ADJUST MECHANISM

The torque spring is applied to adjust the output torque of the shaft, which is set at “weak” position at factory, it is adjustable for target measuring material S.G.(special gravity), if the measured material with higher S.G., please try to release it to more stronger spring force position until you found the proper orientation.

The paddle sensitivity will be interacted by weaker, otherwise, the low S.G. material will release torque spring to the weakest position, which will cause the paddle performance to be more sensitive.

Note: the torque force should not be adjusted during test, avoiding the error check signal.

Caution:

Make sure the supplying voltage is same as the specifications. Wrong voltage will damage the paddle sensor.

Warning:

To avoid personal injury, dO NOT remove the housing cover after supplying the power. If you will touch any solder joints and terminals, you may receive an electric shock.

Installation:

When do installing or maintenance, open the device only after the power source is off.

Please side mount the rotary paddle switch by inclined 15°~20° to decrease the material inflowing impact; The wiring entry face downward, avoid the rain permeate into housing body.
