When the fluid passes through the elbow, due to the constraint of the elbow, the fluid is forced to make a similar circular motion, and the centrifugal force generated by the fluid during the circular motion acts on the inner and outer sides of the elbow, causing the inner and outer sides of the elbow sensor to generate A pressure difference, the size of the pressure difference (that is, the pressure difference value) is related to the density of the fluid, the average flow rate of the fluid, and the radius of curvature of the circular motion of the fluid. They follow the relevant laws of Newton's law of motion that all objects in circular motion must follow. It is widely used in the measurement of liquid, gas and steam in metallurgy, chemical industry, thermoelectricity, textile, pharmaceutical, petroleum, natural gas, papermaking, tobacco, food processing, heat and other industries. It can be directly connected to the DCS system and is suitable for various industrial sites. It can be used as a measuring device for long-term monitoring of flow. The elbow flowmeter is mainly composed of elbow sensor, special instrument or DCS system, differential pressure transmitter and some pipeline valve components. When temperature and pressure compensation is required for flow measurement, it should also be equipped with pressure transmitter, temperature transmitter, Temperature Sensor. 2. Principle structure The primary sensing element of the elbow flowmeter is divided into the following three types of 90° elbow sensors according to the different structures on the installation pipeline - used at the 90° turning connection of the process pipeline, replacing the original elbow 180 ° Elbow sensor - used on straight pipelines, replacing part of the straight section 135 ° elbow sensor - used at the 135 ° turning connection of the process pipeline, replacing the original elbow 3. No additional pressure loss: The elbow sensor does not have any inserts or throttling parts, so it will not cause additional pressure loss to the measured fluid during the flow measurement process, which can save the power consumption of fluid transportation and save energy. 3. Strong adaptability: The elbow sensor can be used normally in high temperature, high pressure, dust, vibration, humidity and other harsh environments. 4. Wide range of measurement range: flow velocity measurement range: liquid medium is 0.2-12 m/s, steam or gas medium is 5-160 m/s. Pipe diameter range: Φ10~Φ2000mm. 5. The requirements for the straight pipe section are not strict: the first five (5D) and the second two (2D) of the straight pipe section can fully meet the use requirements. 6. Long service life: The elbow sensor has good temperature resistance, pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance and vibration resistance, and is not sensitive to trace wear. The sensor is specially processed to last at least as long as the life of the pipe. 7. Easy installation, wear resistance and maintenance-free: Since the elbow sensor is not sensitive to wear, it can be directly welded and installed on the pipeline. After one welding is completed, there will be no headaches such as leakage, and no maintenance is required.
