The difference between radar level meter and radio frequency admittance level meter

The radar level gauge is a radar level gauge based on the principle of time domain reflection (TDR), which transmits and receives short microwave pulses with very low energy through the antenna system. Radar waves travel at the speed of light. The operating time can be converted into a level signal by means of electronic components. A special time-stretching method ensures short-term stabilization. It adopts the measurement method of microwave pulse and can work normally in the industrial frequency band. The radar level meter measures the continuous level of liquids, particles and slurries, and the measurement is not affected by medium changes, temperature changes, inert gases, steam, dust, foam, etc. The radar level meter is suitable for acid-base storage tanks, slurry storage tanks, solid particles, small oil storage tanks, various conductive, non-conductive and corrosive media in explosion-hazardous areas. The structure of the radio frequency admittance level meter is divided into two parts: the main electrode and the compensation electrode. A set of RF radio frequency signals are respectively applied between the main electrode and the compensation electrode, so as to analyze and determine the change of the material level in the container. The frequency of the radio wave changes according to the material being probed by the radio frequency admittance level meter. The probe and the container wall of the RF admittance switch form a capacitor with a fixed distance between two stages, and the insulating material of the probe and the surrounding air provide the insulating medium. When air is replaced by other media, the capacitance formed by the probe and the container wall will change, and this change will cause changes in the radio waves acting on the RF admittance level gauge probe. This change is detected by the internal circuit of the RF admittance level gauge, and is compared with the set value to determine the amount of change. When it is the same as the set value, output switch signal. The RF admittance level meter is suitable for measurement in the environment of high temperature, high pressure, strong corrosion, strong adhesion, strong impact, strong wear and large dust.
