Measuring principle and characteristics of radar level gauge

1. Measuring principle of radar level gauge The radar level gauge adopts the working mode of transmitting-reflecting-receiving. The antenna of the radar level gauge emits electromagnetic waves. These waves are reflected by the surface of the measured object and then received by the antenna. The time from emission to reception of electromagnetic waves is proportional to the distance to the liquid surface. The level gauge using radar pulse wave technology has low power consumption and can be powered by two-wire 24V DC, which is easy to achieve intrinsic safety, high accuracy and wider application range. 2. Features of the radar level gauge (1) The radar level gauge adopts an integrated design, there is no mechanical wear, and the service life is long. (2) The electromagnetic wave emitted by the radar level gauge can pass through the vacuum without the need for transmission media, and has the characteristics of being unaffected by the atmosphere, steam and volatile mist in the tank. (3) The radar level gauge can be used for level measurement of almost all liquids. In practical applications, almost all media can reflect enough reflected waves. (4) Non-contact measurement is adopted, which is not affected by the physical properties such as the density and concentration of the liquid in the tank. (5) The measurement range is large, and the maximum measurement range can reach 0~30m, which can be used for liquid level measurement of high temperature and high pressure. (6) The key components such as the antenna are made of high-quality materials, which have strong corrosion resistance and can adapt to highly corrosive environments.
