How to select flowmeter for strong acid and strong alkali corrosive medium?

Strong acid and strong alkali are one of the indispensable materials for chemical raw materials. Due to its particularity, any material in contact with it may be corroded. When selecting a flowmeter under the condition of corrosive medium, the anti-corrosion effect is very high. Among the most important, if the internal material of the flowmeter cannot be selected correctly, a little carelessness will cause the flowmeter to be damaged, and it will cause an accident. Therefore, when selecting the flowmeter, special attention should be paid to the scientific nature of materials. Everyone has such a misunderstanding: as long as it is stainless steel, it can resist materials such as strong acid and strong alkali, and stainless steel is praised to the sky. In fact, this view is extremely dangerous. Some characteristics and what kind of flowmeter should be selected are discussed below. There are many kinds of flowmeters for measuring strong acid and strong alkali: electromagnetic flowmeter, turbine flowmeter, and vortex flowmeter. They each have their own merits and characteristics, but in the case of acid and alkali, according to various indicators, on-site feedback information, and public comments, everyone basically approves the electromagnetic flowmeter. The reason for the approval is that the electromagnetic flowmeter is wrapped with a corrosion-resistant material on the outside of the material. The material is called polytetrafluoroethylene as shown in Figure 1, which is equivalent to isolating the material from the medium, and other flow meters do not have this function. Below we use a table to compare, what kind of lining materials are suitable for strong acid and strong alkali selection, as shown in Table 1. It has excellent elasticity, high breaking force and good wear resistance. 2. It is resistant to the corrosion of general low-concentration acid, alkali, and salt media, and is not resistant to the corrosion of oxidative media. 80°C 120°C (special order required) water, sewage, weak abrasive slurry. Polyurethane rubber 1. Strong wear resistance. 80 ℃ neutral and strong abrasion ore slurry, coal slurry, mud 2, poor corrosion resistance.
