What are the common faults of magnetostrictive level gauges? 1. There is no liquid level display, or the minimum value is always displayed. This kind of fault is often because the float is stuck at the bottom, or the float leaks. It is recommended to contact the process to stop the meter for disassembly and inspection, check whether there is dirt in the measuring rod and on the float, and then clean it. If the float has leaked it can only be replaced. 2. There is a deviation in the liquid level display. The liquid level display is deviated. Generally, the positions of the float and the sampling pipeline are checked first. If no problem is found, the range of the transmitter can be recalibrated. Press the UP and DOWN keys simultaneously for 1s to enter the calibration mode. The deviation between the instrument display and the actual liquid level may also be due to the presence of air bubbles in the medium, resulting in the inconsistency between the density of the medium and the density of the float, which needs to be solved by contacting the process. In addition, the damping of the terminals and the ingress of water will also affect the measurement of the instrument. It is recommended to dry the damp parts. If it is confirmed that there is a problem with the sensor or module, it needs to be replaced with a spare part, otherwise it can only be returned to the factory for repair. 3. The liquid level display jumps. If the liquid level display is high or low, it may be caused by poor grounding or electromagnetic interference. It is recommended to check whether the grounding of the transmitter and the signal cable is good, and check whether the operation module and the storage backplane are not There is poor contact. In addition, the clutter generated by the vibration of the equipment will also cause the display jump phenomenon of the magnetostrictive level gauge. It is recommended to adjust the threshold voltage to solve it. The so-called threshold voltage is a parameter used to shield the clutter signal and make the return signal clearer. Generally, signals lower than this parameter will be regarded as clutter and all will be filtered out; while signals higher than this parameter will be returned as valid signals. The threshold voltage setting range of different instruments is different, but the adjustable range of the threshold voltage is still relatively large. 4. Abnormal alarm The magnetostrictive liquid level gauge occasionally jumps to the alarm state. It may be that the threshold voltage is not set properly, and the threshold voltage should be adjusted. There is a small blind area at the end of the measuring rod of the magnetostrictive level gauge. Once the float stays at this position, the pulse wave emitted by the sensor cannot return, and a 21mA alarm will also be output. This kind of phenomenon is easy to appear when there is no liquid in, but as long as liquid enters and the float rises to within the measurement range, this phenomenon will disappear by itself. When the temperature of the measured medium is at or close to the maximum working temperature of the instrument, an alarm failure may occur. Generally, raising the operating temperature of the instrument by one stop can solve this problem. If the sensor or module is faulty, there will be such a fault. Generally, the module can be replaced with spare parts to confirm whether there is a real problem. If there is a problem with the sensor, it can only be returned to the factory for repair. In addition to the magnetostrictive liquid level gauge, the externally attached liquid level gauge is also a commonly used liquid level instrument. It does not need to open holes in the container to be measured.
