The faults that occur during the initial commissioning and normal operation for a period of time during the operation period are mainly caused by the following five points: 1. The main reasons for the signal interference source are the same as the previous section in terms of the interference during the debugging period, but the interference source does not appear during the debugging period. Participate during operation. For example, an electromagnetic flowmeter with no ideal grounding protection. During the commissioning period, because there is no factory disturbance source, the instrument operates normally. However, during the operation period, a new disturbance source (such as a pipeline near the measurement point or pipeline welding is performed far away) interferes with the instrument. In normal operation, there is a large bump in the output signal. 2. Inner wall adhesion layer Since the electromagnetic flowmeter has more time to measure the suspended solid phase or dirt than other
flow meters, the probability of interference caused by the inner wall adhesion layer is relatively high. If the conductivity of the adhesion layer is similar to the conductivity of the liquid, the meter can still output signals normally, but the smooth area is changed, forming a hidden obstacle to the measurement deviation; if the high conductivity adhesion layer, the electromotive force between the electrodes will be short-circuited; , the electrode surface is insulated and the measurement circuit is disconnected. The latter two symptoms can make the instrument unable to work. 3. Lightning strike Lightning strikes feel instantaneous high voltage and surge current in the line, and entering the meter will destroy the meter. There are 3 introduction paths for lightning strike damage instruments: power line, flow signal line and excitation line between sensors and converters. However, damage to components from lightning disturbances can also cause disturbances. Most of the high voltages and inrush currents are introduced from the control room power lines, and the other two are less. It is also learned from the scene of the lightning accident that not only the public electromagnetic flowmeter is obstructed, but other instruments in the control room often have lightning accidents at the same time. Therefore, the use of the unit should understand the importance of setting the lightning protection method of the instrument power line in the control room. 4. Electrode wear Due to the excessive flow rate of the medium in the pipeline, suspended particles, small iron filings and small stones will also damage the electrodes in the split electromagnetic flowmeter under the action of thrust, and the damage of the electrodes is a direct consequence. It is the entire inlet water of the flowmeter. 5. The position of the split-type electromagnetic flowmeter has strict standards for installation. It can be installed indoors or outdoors. The most feared is the dark and humid place as shown in Figure 1, because the humidity inside is too large, which will affect the internal flow of the flowmeter.
