Installation steps of radar level meter:

1. In case of measuring liquid, it is better to choose 1/2 tank radius for opening. The installation position shall be a position that is easy to install and wire, and shall be convenient for later disassembly and assembly. The distance between the instrument and the tank wall shall be no less than 200mm.

2. There shall be no obstacles in the antenna microwave transmitting beam angle, so the installation shall avoid the facilities in the tank as much as possible, such as man ladder, limit switch, heating equipment, support, etc. If it cannot be avoided, "material level confirmation" shall be carried out during installation.

3. The microwave beam transmitted by the antenna shall be far away from the feed stream. The highest material level of the measured material is lower than the blind area of the instrument measurement, and the antenna end shall be at least 50mm away from the media surface to ensure that the material does not pollute the antenna.

4. For liquid measurement, the installation of the instrument shall ensure that the antenna is perpendicular to the surface of the measured medium. For solid measurement, ensure that the antenna is perpendicular to the surface of the measured medium as much as possible. Instruments installed in explosion-proof areas must comply with the national installation regulations for explosion-proof hazardous areas.

Selection of radar level gauge position:

During installation, it is better to select the opening at 1/2R. The top of the tank is an arched tank, and the instrument must not be installed in the center. The distance between 26Ghz instrument and tank wall shall be at least 200mm or 1/10H, whichever is larger. For vessels with flat top and cone bottom, the best installation position of the instrument is the top center of the vessel to ensure the maximum measurement distance of the instrument.

If the instrument is installed outdoors or in a humid and steam environment, the cable gland should be tightened to prevent moisture, and the cable at the inlet should be bent downward. It must be ensured that the antenna end shall extend out of the container riser by no less than 10mm.

If the antenna length is less than the riser height of the site container, the antenna extension tube must be used. Ensure that the end of the horn antenna extends more than 10mm from the bottom of the riser through the antenna extension tube. The installation position of the instrument shall be as far away from the feed inlet as possible. Adjust the orientation of the horn antenna through the universal joint of the instrument to make the angle between the horn antenna and the measured medium level as vertical as possible. This increases the intensity of the echo.

The wave generating part of the antenna shall be exposed at least 20mm from the bottom of the container riser, and the plastic horn antenna can be fixed on the corresponding flange hole through the adaptive flange.

What are the precautions when installing the radar level meter?

1. Do not install the equipment at the feed inlet, feed curtain, vortex and other positions. The measured object will produce partial amplitude and cause false echo during injection, resulting in no data. Vortex will cause irregular liquid level, affect microwave signal scattering, cause signal attenuation, and lead to incorrect data, so pay attention.

2. The installed container is equipped with an agitator, which will produce irregular vortices during mixing, causing signal attenuation, and the blades on the agitator will also reflect microwave signals, causing false data. Especially when the relative dielectric constant of the measured object is small and the liquid level is low, the influence of the agitator on the data detected by the equipment is very serious. Therefore, the radar level meter shall be installed away from the agitator.

3. When facing corrosive and crystallized liquid objects, in order to prevent the sensor of the radar level meter from being affected, the instrument model equipped with PTFE protective film and split flange structure is generally adopted. However, the high temperature resistance of the parts is not too high, and the PTFE can only reach 200 . Therefore, in order to avoid the influence of parts on the measured data, the installation requires a certain safety distance between the flange end face and the liquid level. Radar level meter.

4. If the installed container is concave or tapered, the radar beam must reach the low point of the container during debugging. If the liquid level of the measured object is lower than the low point recorded by the radar beam, the measurement will not be possible. Therefore, the installation should try to adjust the low point position to ensure the correctness of the measured data.

Operation steps of radar level meter:

Before the process of opening the tank is countersigned, it must be clearly acknowledged that there is no pressure or harmful media in the tank.

It should be clearly recognized that positioning debugging can be carried out when the container is empty or the level just covers the bottom of the tank, and positioning debugging can also be carried out when the level is small; The echo signal of radar level meter can be optimized through false echo storage.

Turn the flange mark to a hole position, or turn the turnbuckle for 1/8 turn, pay attention to the amplitude of return vibration, then turn the flange or turnbuckle until it is turned for one turn to stop, and locate it at the best position of echo signal.

Fix the flange at the optimal position or tighten the turnbuckle. If it is indispensable, change it to a tight sealing ring.
