I. Influence of vessel shape on level switch selection
1. Cylindrical packagings

▲Capacitance level switches and RF-conductance level switches operate on a similar principle to their application in cylindrical vessels, but it should be noted that in square or rectangular vessels, the choice of mounting position may have an effect on the measurement accuracy.
▲Photoelectric level switch determines the liquid level height by detecting the reflection of light. It has the advantages of high accuracy, fast response speed, and is not affected by the nature of the liquid, but the price is relatively high.
Second, the container size of the impact on the level switch selection
1. Small packagings
▲For small vessels, due to limited space, you need to choose level switches with compact size and easy installation. For example, miniature float level switches and SMD capacitive level switches are good choices.
▲Micro float level switches are usually miniaturized and suitable for containers with limited space. It works on the same principle as ordinary float ball level switch, but is smaller in size and more flexible in installation.
▲Patch type capacitive level switches can be directly pasted on the vessel wall without drilling holes for installation, which is very suitable for level monitoring of small vessels.
2. Large packagings
▲For large vessels, it is necessary to choose level switches with wide measuring range, high precision and high reliability. For example, ultrasonic level switch and radar level switch are more suitable choices.
▲Ultrasonic level switches and radar level switches can both realize long-distance measurement with high accuracy. They are not affected by the nature of the liquid and the shape of the vessel, but the price is relatively high and the installation and commissioning are complicated.
Choosing the right level switch requires comprehensive consideration of the shape and size of the vessel, the nature of the liquid, the measurement accuracy requirements, installation and maintenance costs and other factors. In practical applications, the selection can be made according to specific circumstances to ensure the accuracy and reliability of liquid level monitoring.
